Over four trade fair days, almost 30,000 industry professionals visited SECUREX along with INSTALACJE International Fair of Installations and Equipment, SAWO International Fair of Work Protection, Fire-Fighting and Rescue Equipment, WODOCIĄGI International Water and Sewerage Industry Fair and KOMINKI International Fireplace Fair, all held concurrently.

State-of-the-art expertise from the field of security

SECUREX was accompanied by a rich programme of events: conferences, seminars, lectures and shows. These events were held under the auspices of the Minister of Economy, Minister of the Interior and Administration, President of the Polish Bank Association and the Chief of the Wielkopolska Provincial Police Headquarters in Poznań.

The first trade fair day saw the final of a very meaningful competition for the industry, i.e. the Polish Master of Alarm Technology organised by POLALARM Polish Association of Security System and Security Management Engineers and Technicians. The competition winners were 13 companies whose products have been found the most innovative for property protection. The Main Prize of the „Golden Armour" in the „Polish Master of Alarm Technology" competition went to the Poznań-based LINC Sp. z o.o. company, which had presented MOBOTIX Q24M-Sec, an autonomous video/audio surveillance and registration system.

On the second trade fair day, the Final of the Polish Alarm Systems Installers' Championship organised by the Polish Chamber of Alarm Systems stirred a lot of emotions. The competition involved 6 teams that have qualified for the final after an incredibly difficult qualification round that required extensive expertise and precise skills of installation, maintenance and service of alarm system devices. The prestigious title of the 2010 Champion of Poland of Alarm System Installers finally went to: Michał Bogusz and Zbigniew Fiłkowski from the Szczecin-based Agencja Solid Security. The 1st runner-up and the 2010 1st Vice-champion of Poland of Alarm System Installers was MR SYSTEM team from Warsaw, represented by: Mariusz Joachimczuk and Mariusz Rakowski, whereas the 2nd runner-up and the 2010 2nd Vice-champion of Poland of Alarm System Installers was UNIWERSUM team from Warsaw (Jakub Dziedzic - Andrzej Sypuła).

The „1st Conference on Security Management in Facilities" (including public buildings, buildings of special social importance as well as sports, tourist, industrial and military facilities) enjoyed great popularity. This topic has turned out to be incredibly attractive as we are about to organise EURO 2012 Championship. At the same time, the "Requirements and guidelines for applying new Polish norms in designing and constructing alarm systems" conference organised by the Polish Chamber of Alarm Systems attracted a large group of investors, administrators and designers responsible for security organisation for high-profile buildings and management of physical security systems.

During the four trade fair days, Poznań was the safest place in the entire country. SECUREX attracted uniformed services from all over Poland. Apart from cutting-edge police devices and equipment, the Wielkopolska Police and the Wielkopolska Provincial Office have prepared for SECUREX a series of conferences promoting the latest expertise on security. The „Together safer - security in public space and at home" conference addressed to uniformed services and local government employees involved in ensuring public order and safety presented innovative solutions enhancing the effectiveness of police and city guards operations. At the same time, the „Trade safety" and „Security of financial institutions" conferences attracted many representatives and employees of offices, institutions, banks as well as chain stores and shops interested in robbery prevention, proper protection of the facility as well as protection of services and goods.

Shows of rescue operations following a road accident including presentations of airbag explosions were truly spectacular. These shows concluded the conference on road safety in the Wielkopolska region that presented solutions aimed at reducing the number of road accidents and road fatalities.

The next edition of the International Security Exhibition will be held in two years, in April 2012.
